This five-track EP marks Ebbb’s first output. Emerging from the vibrant, avant-garde London live scene that spawned black midi and Black Country, New Road – and despite being together for barely a year – the band have already landed on something truly singular. Fusing pulsing rhythms, immersive electronic production, sparkling melodies, layered vocal harmonies and beats that veer from ambient to industrial, the result is an idiosyncratic hybrid of sounds. One that the group describes as “Brian Wilson meets Death Grips”. But while the EP might be experimental, loose and unpredictable, it’s also deeply considered, taut, and absolutely flab-free.
Band Highlights
- 2-page feature in tastemaker publication So Young Magazine (Issue 48): “Breathtaking” / “a hypnotic seance” / “Ebbb’s sound reaches across the full spectrum of musical understanding” / “Their atmospheric power is unparalleled” / “To watch Ebbb live is to have an almost religious experience”
- Ebbb will be supporting The Smile (Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood’s band) in Switzerland in August 2024.
- Previous notable supports: PVA, Folly Group, Mary In The Junkyard, Scaler

Artist: Ebbb

Label: Ninja Tune

Format: Vinyl

Format detail: 12" EP, White 400gsm Disco Sleeve [w/ download card]

Release date: 2024-07-26
