Photographer: Tom Tavee. The Absolute Greatest Hits compiles many of late bassist Wayman Tisdale's recordings after he left Atlantic and signed with Rendezvous Entertainment. Included here are tracks off such albums as 2004's Hang Time, 2006's Way Up!, 2008's Rebound, and Tisdale's 2010 posthumously released final album, The Fonk Record. These are smooth jazz and R&B recordings that showcase Tisdale's trademark melodic approach to playing bass. Included are such cuts as covers of "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now," "Get Down on It," and "Never, Never Gonna Give You Up," with Toby Keith. Also included are such Tisdale originals as "Ready to Hang," "Way Up," and "Let's Ride." ~ Matt Collar
