For our money, there’s nothing quite as cool as a 7” slab of vintage, reverb-pumped 60’s surf wax. And here’s a brand new, super-limited pressing of one of our absolute favorites, “Gypsy Surfer” b/w “Wax ’Em Down” by the slick, Mosrite-slinging Avantis... Fronted by Pat and Lolly Vegas (who would later form 70’s hit-makers ‘Redbone’), The Avantis recorded these two LOUD California stompers in 1963 for Chancellor Records. Yup - a true rarity! And now, pressed on cool, ocean-blue vinyl, this double-sider needs to find a perfect home on jukeboxes everywhere and in YOUR favorite box of awesome 60’s singles...
