Description
Edition of 200 copies in hand-assembled sleeve. L'Oriole brings together violinist, composer and improviser Clara Lévy and sound artist Stéphane Clor. Combining violin, violoncello piccolo and a unique orchestra of resonators and transducers, the duo explores birdsong, resonance and the transformative power of sound itself. Moving between contemporary chamber music, free improvisation and sound art, the project pays tribute to Olivier Messiaen and his lifelong fascination with birdsong. RIYL: Olivier Messiaen, Éliane Radigue, Luc Ferrari, Contemporary chamber music, Electroacoustic music, Sound art, Experimental improvisation.
